Dr. Indira Mota is a passionate educator and learner. She is currently a Middle School Principal in New York City. Dr. Mota has worked as a School Administrator for almost sixteen years from the Bronx to Brooklyn, with vast experience in school improvement and school culture and community development. As a driven and dedicated Latina, Leader and Learner, Dr. Mota knows first hand the power of education and the role it can play in advancing students from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities towards academic growth, success and financial security. Dr. Mota was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and was raised in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Mota attended the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, attended Teachers College Columbia University where she earned her first Master's in Secondary School Instruction,  attended The College of St. Rose where she earned a second Master’s in School Administration and then returned to Teachers College Columbia University where she earned her third Master’s in Urban Education and an Ed.D. in the Urban Education Leaders Program at Teachers College Columbia University.
